Keep the files that matter.
Keep the context around them too.
A folder full of downloads is not much of an archive. AtArchive preserves selected Google Drive and OneDrive files with useful source metadata and path context so an old document can still make sense years after the live account changes.
File preservation has two different problems
Sometimes you know exactly what to keep. Sometimes the hard part is deciding what matters inside a messy drive.
Why context matters after the account is gone
The filename alone is often not enough to tell you why an old document mattered.
Path and folder context
Preserve where a file lived so "Final-v3.pdf" can still be understood as part of a client, project, finance, or personal record later.
Provider metadata
Names, dates, source IDs, ownership/sharing information where available, and other preserved metadata can make later filtering and investigation more useful.
Search the preserved archive
Find archived files by name, path, metadata, and extracted or indexed content where that processing is available.
Add deeper document processing deliberately
OCR, document analysis, summaries, and classification are optional capabilities where offered; basic preservation does not require them.
Why people suddenly care about old cloud files
Usually the live drive is about to change, cost more, or become unavailable.
"I'm paying for storage mostly because I'm scared to delete things."
Storage anxiety can keep an old plan alive long after the files stopped being part of daily work.
"This account is closing and I don't want a blind export dump."
Preserve the important records while provider paths and context still exist, then verify what you kept before changing the source.
"I found the file, but I have no idea what it belonged to."
That is why preserving path and metadata is part of the archive, not an afterthought.
Preserve files before cleanup becomes irreversible
Connect, review, preserve, verify — then make the provider decision.
Connect and inspect
Use a supported Google Drive or OneDrive workflow and review the source metadata available to the archive.
Decide what to keep
Select records directly or use guided review in supported workflows. A recommendation is not proof that a file is legally or personally safe to retain.
Preserve the chosen records
Archive the file and useful source context into AtArchive before the provider-side cleanup or closure.
Verify
Open known files and check the archived structure before deleting or downgrading anything at the source.
