Terms of Service

About these terms: These terms describe the service, the records it may process, and the controls available to you. Feature-specific information and applicable privacy notices provide the details for the actions you choose.

1. The service

AtArchive is a private archive service designed to help users preserve supported digital records, search and browse preserved history, and optionally use measured or model-assisted intelligence features.

Supported source families include Gmail / Google Workspace email, Microsoft 365 / Outlook email, Google Drive, OneDrive, and Microsoft Calendar. Availability can differ by provider, format, size, and feature.

2. Your authority to archive data

You may use AtArchive only with accounts, records, files, calendars, correspondence, or other material that you own or are authorized to access and preserve.

Technical access does not itself establish ownership or permission. Employer records, client information, regulated material, shared files, inherited accounts, and third-party correspondence may be subject to contracts, policies, law, confidentiality duties, or other restrictions. You are responsible for determining whether you may lawfully retain the material you submit or connect.

3. Provider connections

Supported Google and Microsoft workflows use provider authorization mechanisms rather than requiring your provider password to become an AtArchive credential. The exact permissions requested depend on the source and feature.

You are responsible for reviewing the provider consent screen and for maintaining lawful access to the source account during import. AtArchive cannot recover provider records it never received after source access has been lost.

4. Archive imports and verification

Historic imports can involve long-running background jobs, provider APIs, retries, checkpoints, queues, storage systems, and source-specific limitations.

Before closing, deleting, downgrading, or otherwise changing a source account, you should review the import status, inspect records you recognize, confirm relevant date/source coverage, and test the archive yourself. A started or apparently completed connection should not be treated as proof that every possible source record was preserved.

5. Search and intelligence

AtArchive provides browsing, Search, measured Insights, People/Organization context, and supported history and intelligence features.

Model-assisted interpretations, summaries, histories, or answers are not source records and may contain errors or omissions. For important decisions, inspect the underlying evidence before relying on generated interpretation.

6. Pricing and payment

Pricing may depend on source type, data volume, retained data, archive tier, optional analysis, or other processing. The Pricing page shows current public pricing for the archive products and options it covers.

A label such as “one-time” applies only to what the applicable purchase terms expressly cover; it does not by itself guarantee lifetime pricing, storage, or service.

7. Availability and change

AtArchive is an evolving service. Provider APIs, provider policies, model services, features, supported formats, limits, pricing, and infrastructure may change. We may modify or discontinue features where necessary, subject to applicable law and any specific paid commitments made at purchase.

8. Acceptable use

Do not use AtArchive to obtain or retain data you are not authorized to possess; defeat provider access controls; exfiltrate employer/client information; violate privacy or intellectual-property rights; distribute malware; interfere with the service; or conduct unlawful activity.

9. Important limitations

AtArchive is not, by default, a legal certification, chain-of-custody, regulated records-management, forensic, compliance, or evidentiary service. Search results and generated intelligence are not legal advice or guaranteed complete evidence.

Privacy

1. Why AtArchive privacy requires unusual care

An archive may contain years of email, attachments, files, calendars, people, organizations, relationship history, search indexes, and generated intelligence. The service is designed around the principle that this material exists to serve the user rather than to become an advertising profile.

2. Data we may process

Depending on the features you use, AtArchive may process account/profile data, provider authorization tokens, source records, attachments/files, calendar events, source metadata, import-job state, People/Organization projections, search data, generated intelligence, usage/metering records, operational logs, and support/diagnostic information.

3. Purpose limitation

AtArchive processes data only to operate, secure, support, improve, meter, or deliver the archive and the features you choose, subject to the terms that apply to the service.

4. Provider and model subprocessors

Selected features may rely on Microsoft Azure, source-provider APIs, and model/AI services. AtArchive explains the relevant providers, data flows, regions, retention terms, and feature-level model use for the service.

5. Security

AtArchive's security practices cover provider permissions, user and tenant isolation, secret handling, storage and transport protection, backups, file safety, operational access, incident response, and model-processing risks.

6. Data control, export, disconnection, and deletion

AtArchive is designed to give users control over provider connections and archived records. Disconnecting a source, exporting records, deleting one archive, deleting generated intelligence, and deleting an AtArchive account can be different operations.

Deletion and retention timing can involve primary storage, attachments/files, calendar data, derived People/Organization records, search indexes, generated intelligence, queues, logs, backups, soft-delete/versioning, and exports. AtArchive explains the applicable timing and remaining copies for the operation you choose.

7. AI/model-assisted features

Preservation and deterministic archive functions are separate from optional model-assisted features. When you use a model-assisted feature, the relevant source scope and behavior should be clear.

For each model-assisted feature, the applicable product information describes the provider, data sent, retention and training terms, geographic considerations, prompt/output persistence, user consent, and deletion behavior.

8. Analytics and tracking

AtArchive may use first-party telemetry, operational monitoring, marketing analytics, cookies, and selected third-party scripts. The applicable privacy information describes what is used and why.

9. Children, international users, and rights requests

AtArchive provides age requirements, international-transfer and legal-basis information where applicable, privacy-rights request handling, controller/processor roles, response channels, and jurisdiction-specific disclosures for the service.
